2019 Monsignor Schuyler Council 1333 Scholarship Announcement
In 2017, our Council proudly approved and initiated a new Scholarship program to recognize and assist students directly associated with our Council, who were planning for post-high school continuing education. We were blessed to receive applications from many deserving candidates in our inaugural year.
This new program now complements our Council's long history of providing book scholarships and support for students in our local high schools, as well as St. Agnes School.
This local support is well-aligned with the Knights of Columbus at the National and State level, where both have a long history of showing support for youth/young adult education through various scholarship programs.
We are proud to announce that we are launching this Council Scholarship Program for 2019!
The intent is to provide a one-time scholarship of significance to a student planning for post-high school continuing education who is directly associated to our Council - either an active member of our Council in good standing or a child/grandchild of an active Council member in good standing. It is eligible to students returning to a post-high school program in Fall 2019, as well as 2019 high school graduates planning to attend a program in Fall 2019. Post-high school programs include 2- and 4-year undergraduate programs, vocational/trade programs, and the seminary. Prior scholarship winners are not eligible for this year's scholarship.
The 2019 Scholarship is being announced as a one-time, $2,000 scholarship.
We will accept candidate applications starting April 1, 2019 through May 31, 2019.
Our 2019 recipient will be selected and announced by/before July 15, 2019
